Shipping & Receiving Associate (Manufacturing)

Location: Newburyport, MA, United States; onsite role

Hourly pay: $18.80–$25.80

What you will do

• Coordinate packing, shipping, receiving, and distribution of products, materials, parts, and goods.
• Prepare shipping labels in UPS WorldShip, coordinate with carriers, arrange shipments, obtain quotes, manage documentation, and handle returns.
• Process incoming and outgoing materials through internal production control and inventory systems.
• Maintain purchase orders, packing slips, goods receipts, carrier documentation, and inventory records.
• Resolve discrepancies in orders, documentation, records, and counts while coordinating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Perform cycle counts, manage shipping supplies, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, make local deliveries and pickups, and maintain 5S standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3+ years of shipping, receiving, and inventory control experience.
• Knowledge of courier services such as FedEx and UPS, including their software and website processes.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to follow written procedures, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to complete forklift operator training.
• Ability to perform essential duties, stand or sit for prolonged periods, use required safety protection, and lift up to 60 lbs.
