Process Engineer - Ion Implant (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Beverly, MA, United States

Salary: $67,812.80–$101,719.20 base salary per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits for regular employees working 20 or more hours per week.

What you will do

• Characterize ion implant tools and define operating parameter spaces based on technical requirements and customer use cases.
• Analyze tool performance data, including repeatability, stability, particle performance, uptime, and SPC metrics.
• Prepare and maintain characterization reports, operational-window data packages, and Best Method documentation.
• Support customer tool demonstrations through recipe setup, wafer processing, system qualification, and demonstration reporting.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Systems Engineering, and Engineering teams on product updates, competitive data, and application development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in semiconductor processing, equipment engineering, or a related technical role.
• Basic understanding of SPC, data analysis, and experimental methodology.
• Ability to document technical results clearly and communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to learn hands-on tool operation and support customer-facing activities.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ion implant concepts such as dose, energy, species, and uniformity.
• Experience programming basic engineering functions in JMP, Minitab, or Matlab.
