Senior IT Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid with regular in-office presence. Candidates must be based in Lithuania within commuting distance of the Vilnius office and have the right to work in Lithuania or the EU. This is not a fully remote or relocation-on-hire role.

Salary: €3,900–€4,900 per month before tax, plus other benefits.

What you will do

• Own the SIEM, including detection use cases, log-source onboarding, tuning, alert triage, and continuous detection coverage.
• Lead security incident response across containment, eradication, recovery, and escalation to security leadership.
• Run vulnerability management, including scanning, remediation tracking, verification, and support for independent penetration testing.
• Maintain threat intelligence, indicators of compromise, endpoint and network security tooling, including EDR, firewalls, and network monitoring.
• Harden security configurations and access controls, coordinating remediation with engineering teams.
• Support technical security due diligence for vendors and cloud providers and provide on-call incident coverage outside business hours.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on IT or information security experience with strong security-operations depth.
• Practical experience owning or operating a SIEM, including design, tuning, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience containing and recovering from real security incidents.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability management, EDR, firewalls, network security tooling, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams and take end-to-end ownership in a fast-moving regulated environment.
• Right to work in Lithuania or the EU and availability for regular on-site work in Vilnius are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, VASP, e-money, or another regulated environment.
• Cloud or platform security experience with AWS or Kubernetes.
• Detection engineering or scripting skills, such as Python, for monitoring and response automation.
• CISSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC, or another relevant certification.
