Semi-Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; applicants are asked whether they are based in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. The role is currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered WhatsApp remittance and financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., using AI, blockchain, and stablecoins.

What you will do

• Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend microservices for the Chat Platform.
• Build, deploy, and iterate on chatbot services and conversational interfaces for remittance users.
• Design and manage infrastructure supporting millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
• Develop backend services using REST APIs and Google Cloud services.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams.
• Use customer feedback and analytics to improve conversational experiences.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications with real-world impact.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, web services, SOAP, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Proficiency in English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
• Experience with or interest in chatbots, conversational interfaces, NLP tools, or chatbot frameworks is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar AI tools.
• Familiarity with Dialogflow, IBM Watson, Rasa, or similar chatbot frameworks.
• Curiosity about or experience in fintech.
