Software Engineer Seniors Global Banking Technologies (Java)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Java applications, REST APIs, batch-processing systems, and real-time services for secure, high-volume banking workloads.
• Execute full-cycle development, including coding, testing, debugging, deployment, releases, and production rollouts across multiple environments.
• Provide L3 production support by analyzing incidents, resolving client-reported defects, applying hotfixes, and conducting root cause analysis with Dynatrace, Splunk, logs, and data traces.
• Monitor and manage batch jobs using Batch-UI and the Job Scheduler Framework, including triggering, restarting, or skipping jobs as required.
• Optimize system performance, throughput, latency, and availability while applying data structures and algorithms to high-volume processing.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, operations, QA, implementation teams, and end-users to refine requirements, review code, resolve defects, and demonstrate delivered features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience developing technology solutions for global banking or U.S. financial institutions.
• Experience with Java or Python, distributed-system architectures, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and Spring Batch.
• Experience debugging and optimizing mission-critical enterprise systems, including high-volume transaction and real-time processing workloads.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP for scalable architectures, resilient environments, and CI/CD automation.
• Knowledge of U.S. financial and regulatory requirements, including IRS tax reporting, FDIC, FATCA, and FIDM.
