Supplier Quality Sr Engineer (Solar Inverters)

What you will do

• Assess new suppliers and service providers through on-site and desktop quality-system audits for inverters, PCBA, power electronics, motors, and PV modules.
• Conduct process audits and drive closure of supplier issues through effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead 8D and 5-Why investigations for supplier non-conformities and customer complaints.
• Monitor supplier scorecards, manufacturing yield, and field failures to drive measurable improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, product engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and sourcing on continuous improvement and design-for-manufacturability reviews.
• Conduct PPAP and ensure all quality points are closed before production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
• More than 13 years of experience in manufacturing and quality inspection of solar inverters and power-electronics components.
• Experience with solar inverters and knowledge of controllers, motors, PCB assemblies, and PV modules.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification and certification as a QMS, IATF, or VDA lead auditor.
• Proficiency in 8D, 5 Why, SPC, Pareto analysis, root-cause analysis, quality management systems, and process automation.
• Proficient English and Spanish at C1/C2 level.
