Junior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in the office.

Salary: 850,000 CZK base salary per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and build distributed data pipelines and systems supporting a Knowledge Graph for anti-money laundering solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional squads throughout ideation, design, deployment, and production operations.
• Improve pipeline scalability, latency, throughput, reliability, and resilience.
• Model data and design schemas for the Knowledge Graph and broader data ecosystem.
• Write tests, documentation, and production-quality code while taking ownership of system quality.
• Work with ML engineers to build and deploy AI-powered features using AI-assisted development tools under guidance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with approximately 1–2 years in a relevant role.
• Intermediate knowledge of one or more programming languages and practical experience with Python.
• Experience with Git, unit testing, databases, and basic cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of work.
• Availability for a hybrid schedule requiring two office days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with multidisciplinary teams, distributed computing, production systems, and deployment.
• Knowledge of Knowledge Graphs, graph databases, data analysis, machine learning techniques, or graph algorithms.
• Experience with agile methodologies and Java or Kotlin development.
