Backend Software Engineer

What you will do

• Develop core backend functionality for a Transport Management Platform used by logistics companies across Europe.
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Django, and GraphQL.
• Improve cloud infrastructure, backend code, architecture, and data flows.
• Support platform reliability, performance, scalability, and resilience as the customer base grows.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and backend engineers to solve logistics challenges.
• Contribute to planning, execution, billing, reporting, and AI-enabled automation features.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
• At least 2 years of backend development experience.
• Experience designing scalable software solutions and solving complex technical challenges.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Working knowledge of Python, Django, GraphQL, Postgres, Kubernetes, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud.
• Growth mindset, user-first approach, and willingness to share knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience writing complex SQL queries in Postgres and Google Cloud BigQuery.
• Knowledge of distributed queueing systems at scale.
• Experience working with large production Python codebases.
