Platform Engineer

Location: Full-time onsite in Warminster, Wiltshire, five days per week. Candidates must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

What you will do

• Deploy and configure systems on MODCloud, D2S, and OpenShift.
• Manage Kubernetes environments, networking, connectivity, and security-aligned configurations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and repeatable environment configurations.
• Monitor system health, diagnose infrastructure and platform issues, and resolve deployment failures.
• Support existing simulation, training, deployment, and virtualization systems across modern and legacy environments.
• Apply SRE practices including observability, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement.

Requirements

• Strong systems and infrastructure mindset, with experience across modern and legacy environments.
• Expert working knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.
• Experience with distributed systems, production CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, Zero Trust solutions, service-to-service communication, and distributed system connectivity.
• Experience with constrained or regulated environments such as MODCloud, D2S, or OpenShift, and with diagnosing infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
• Experience developing with Go or Python, shell scripting, and applying SRE practices.

• Experience integrating legacy and non-cloud-native systems alongside modern infrastructure.
