Regulatory and Licensing Specialist (Crypto-asset Industry)

What you will do

• Develop and execute regulatory strategies for crypto-asset operations in Mexico and Colombia.
• Represent hirify.global in discussions with regulatory authorities, policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze local regulatory proposals, monitor legal developments, and prepare policy briefs and recommendations for senior management.
• Support licensing approval processes, regulatory filings, documentation, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Lead local regulatory coordination with expansion, legal, compliance, finance, and regional teams.
• Advocate for policies supporting innovation, safety, and compliance for stablecoin issuers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of regulatory experience in financial services, fintech, or the crypto-asset industry.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Mexico and Colombia, with the ability to address complex regulatory issues strategically and operationally.
• Experience preparing regulatory analyses, consultation responses, policy submissions, regulatory filings, or industry position papers.
• Experience working with or within financial regulators, central banks, supervisory agencies, or ministries of finance is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and representation in regulatory discussions.
• Fluent English and native proficiency in the local language of Mexico and Colombia required. University degree required; an advanced degree in law, economics, political science, or a related field is preferred.
