What you will do

• Lead research and development activities for graphite, silicon carbide, carbide materials, and post-processing methodologies.
• Develop new processes and enhance existing materials to address customer and product needs.
• Define research priorities, contribute to product strategies, and develop technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers and universities to solve complex technical problems.
• Lead product and process releases into manufacturing using lean and Six Sigma methods.
• Drive continuous improvement, scale-up, technology transfer, and intellectual property generation.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with graphite, silicon carbide, or other carbide material systems.
• Ability to design and implement practical solutions to complex problems and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Interdisciplinary research skills and strong verbal, written communication, and record-keeping abilities in English.
• Ability and willingness to integrate AI into technology development activities.
• Capacity to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.
