Executive Director, Project Finance Europe

Location: Hybrid, London, UK, with physical presence in Utrecht for three office days every 6 to 8 weeks

What you will do

• Originate, structure, and execute complex project finance transactions ranging from tens of millions to multi-billion-dollar financings.
• Lead transactions across renewable energy and digital infrastructure, including wind, solar, battery storage, electric transport, data centres, sustainable heating, and geothermal projects.
• Develop strategic client relationships and expand networks across Western Europe.
• Coordinate with Project Finance Europe leadership, deal teams, risk management, credit analysts, business development professionals, and clients.
• Lead cross-functional working groups addressing market developments, strategic priorities, governance, and platform capability development.

Requirements

• Senior experience managing project finance clients and large sponsors, including client onboarding, relationship management, cross-selling, and risk management.
• Proven experience leading, originating, structuring, and executing project finance transactions across Western Europe.
• Relevant client network in the energy transition and/or digital infrastructure sectors.
• Strong business development, analytical, risk assessment, and project due diligence skills.
• Experience with financial modelling, credit risk analysis, and legal documentation.
• Strong leadership, commercial judgement, and stakeholder management abilities.
