Project / Corporate Finance Professional (Infrastructure & Energy Transition)

Location: Hybrid role based in London or Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, with office or client attendance typically required for 60% of the working week.

What you will do

• Lead financial advisory and transaction mandates covering greenfield financings, refinancings, and buy-side and sell-side M&A.
• Advise clients on debt and equity transactions, including screening, teasers, information memorandums, funding competitions, advisor coordination, and transaction closing.
• Manage complex client engagements, project scope, quality, profitability, budgets, deadlines, risks, and client expectations.
• Develop new sectors, clients, markets, and practice-area expertise in infrastructure, renewable energy, and energy transition.
• Translate client needs, datasets, and financial models into value-adding analysis and clear recommendations.
• Mentor junior staff, lead reviews, share market knowledge, and support team resource planning.

Requirements

• Experience in corporate finance, project finance, or a related advisory role within infrastructure, renewables, or energy transition.
• Experience leading financial advisory transactions, preparing teasers and information memorandums, running funding competitions, coordinating advisors, and closing transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of financial principles, investment analysis, risk management, and the UK lender and investor market.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in low-carbon energy, including commercial development and asset financing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, client-facing, project management, due diligence, and report-writing skills.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint; a relevant degree is required, while an MBA, MSc, or MA is desirable.
