Software Engineer (PwD Applicants Only)

Location: Remote-first from anywhere in Brazil, with the option to work from São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces up to twice a week.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex software issues and support product and business decisions.
• Own the software development lifecycle from definition and development through testing, production, and maintenance.
• Design and maintain scalable, reliable software architecture, RESTful APIs, and appropriate design patterns.
• Strengthen delivery quality through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, testing, and engineering process improvements.
• Handle incidents, troubleshoot and debug issues, create post-mortems, and implement preventive actions.
• Mentor software engineers and provide technical guidance across complex scalability, resilience, and fault-tolerance challenges.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Agile development practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
• Experience with database design and evolution, software architecture, and RESTful API development.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, performance tracking, version control, testing, deployment automation, code reviews, and design documentation.
• Fluency in Portuguese and advanced English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring software engineers and developing scalable client-server mobile applications.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud services, CI/CD, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of scalability testing and tuning, algorithm optimization, and distributed systems.
