Backend Developer (Shopify)

What you will do

• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance e-commerce solutions on Shopify.
• Design and implement backend integrations between Shopify, third-party APIs, and external systems.
• Work with Shopify Admin and Storefront APIs, including GraphQL, REST, webhooks, and event-driven integrations.
• Develop Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility solutions.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, story refinement, documentation, and prototyping.
• Troubleshoot and improve architecture, performance, code quality, integrations, and production systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with backend or full-stack technologies.
• Strong Shopify backend development experience, including Shopify Plus.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Liquid, and Node.js.
• Experience with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, webhooks, and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of Git, npm, Webpack, Gulp, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, responsive development, HTML, and CSS.
• Advanced English level and experience working in Scrum environments are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, Remix, React, other e-commerce platforms, or headless CMS solutions.
• Knowledge of Mocha, Jasmine, Jest, server-side rendering, functional programming, CI/CD, or cloud development environments.
• Experience in e-commerce consulting or client-facing projects.
