Flagship Lead Editor

Location: London, England, United Kingdom. The role supports UK morning and US evening editions.

What you will do

• Write most of the daily Flagship briefing and shape its tone and coverage with hirify.global journalists.
• Support the US evening edition with insights and story ideas.
• Collaborate across the newsroom on writing, editing, assigning stories, and broader coverage.
• Help lead the conception and execution of the hirify.global app.
• Produce sophisticated, analytically rich updates for senior executives, decision makers, and policymakers.
• Moderate events and participate in TV, radio, and podcast appearances.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of journalism experience, including major writing roles or leadership of high-level newsletters or briefings.
• Experience and interest in global financial and business journalism.
• Ability to identify themes across sectors and borders and connect complex developments.
• Strong writing judgment, speed, insight, flair, and personality.
• Broad interest in world events and diverse media sources.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with diverse teams, and think strategically about distribution and audiences across media platforms.
