Social Media Output Editor

Location: London, with hybrid working requiring 3 days per week in the Osterley office

What you will do

• Lead and manage a group of Social Media Journalists, directing event coverage and publishing priorities across social platforms.
• Set objectives and KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and build a consistent coaching and development culture.
• Make editorial decisions for hirify.global Sports social output and commission content from Content Production and Design teams.
• Track and prioritize publication requests from teams across the business.
• Create and publish content for live events and daily sports news, adapting style and tone for each platform and target audience.
• Work with senior producers across football, news, community and sports to develop social-first content ideas and support content planning.

Requirements

• Passion for and strong knowledge of sport, particularly football.
• Extensive experience publishing and creating social media content across platforms.
• Strong editorial judgment in a pressurized environment and excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrable experience leading or managing teams, directly or indirectly.
• Ability to manage content quality, timeliness and consistency across social channels.
• Availability for the required hybrid arrangement: 3 days per week in the Osterley office.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of social media insight tools.
• Working knowledge of media law.
• Degree or equivalent qualification, such as NCTJ, in media communications or English.
• Interest in developments in digital publishing.
