Staff Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on sputter system start-up and conversion activities, including process documentation.
• Monitor sputter parameters through online SPC and procedure-conformance audits.
• Troubleshoot sputter process and yield issues with shift process and yield teams to improve utilization, quality, and yield.
• Lead sputter process improvement projects covering utilization, STT, cost, quality, PPH, new products, machines, and process qualification.
• Improve media magnetic baselines through recipe tuning and optimization to increase process stability and repeatability.
• Lead, supervise, coach, and train process technicians, engineering specialists, and characterization technicians.

Requirements

• Degree in Material Science and Engineering.
• English communication skills, spoken and written.
• Experience or knowledge in sputter process sustaining, troubleshooting, process monitoring, and improvement.
• Ability to perform process characterization and qualification for new products, machines, and process changes.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety and health rules.

Nice to have

• Studies or a thesis related to vacuum technology.
• Experience with FMEA, yield improvement, and process stability optimization.
