What you will do

• Design and implement perception algorithms for autonomous vehicles, including sensor fusion, 3D object detection, segmentation, and tracking.
• Develop deep-learning models for real-time perception in self-driving trucks.
• Lead the collection, augmentation, training, and validation of large-scale perception datasets.
• Build testing and validation frameworks for reliability and safety across diverse scenarios and edge cases.
• Conduct simulations and field tests on real-world trucking routes and driving conditions.
• Collaborate with data engineering to maintain datasets and develop data-augmentation techniques.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field focused on sensor fusion, signal processing, or machine learning.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles, especially LiDAR- and camera-based perception.
• Expertise in C++, Python, CUDA, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Experience with sensor calibration, vehicle dynamics, and environmental modeling.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis for real-time, high-reliability systems.
• Experience optimizing deep-learning models for edge deployment through quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation.
