Copywriter (Food-Tech)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the office in Chicago, Illinois

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Write clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for email, social, web, and paid media.
• Apply the brand voice and tone consistently across the customer journey.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on creative work supporting the company mission.
• Use consumer insights to inform messaging and represent the customer perspective.
• Edit and refine copy for clarity, consistency, personality, and purpose.
• Develop creative concepts, manage multiple deadlines, and use AI as a research and exploratory tool for market and consumer trends.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of copywriting experience in-house or at an external agency.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong writing and creative thinking across D2C marketing channels.
• Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, understandable messaging.
• Strong grasp of tone, storytelling, clarity, and customer-focused communication.
• Basic understanding of key marketing channels and interest in how creative drives performance.
• Collaborative, proactive, curious, organized, and open to feedback and mentorship.
