Senior/Staff Software Engineer, Perception (Computer Vision)

Location: Onsite at the Santa Clara, California office

Salary: $180,000–$260,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement multi-modal perception components, including object detection, object tracking, and multi-sensor fusion.
• Build infrastructure enabling learning algorithms to use large-scale image and LiDAR datasets.
• Develop optimized pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, postprocessing, and inference.
• Train perception models, evaluate performance, and investigate and resolve bottlenecks.
• Develop scalable training and evaluation tools and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers on system integration and testing.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of related experience and 2+ years of professional computer vision experience using C++ and OpenCV.
• Expertise in modern C++ and Python, with strong software performance and optimization skills.
• Experience deploying perception algorithms in real-world environments and building testing and evaluation platforms.
• Experience with CUDA or TensorRT, Docker and Kubernetes, and a neural network framework such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong mathematics, 3D geometry, and vector math fundamentals, plus experience in at least two computer vision areas including feature detection and matching, image filtering, object tracking, 3D estimation, 3D reconstruction, or SLAM.
