Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States. Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US government clearance and meet US Person requirements under ITAR and EAR regulations.

Base salary: $160,000–$210,000 per year, excluding benefits and bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Research, design, prototype, and implement deep neural network architectures and other machine learning models.
• Train neural networks for object detection and classification.
• Develop domain-aware preprocessing algorithms and methods to improve model generalization.
• Apply signal preprocessing techniques to Synthetic Aperture Radar data.
• Create physics simulations and account for bias between simulated and real-world data.
• Define objective functions, assess model performance, present findings, and deliver production-quality Python code.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government clearance and must be a US citizen.
• 5–15 years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong machine learning background, preferably in deep neural networks.
• Programming experience in Python; familiarity with Matlab or C/C++ is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Familiarity with radar sensing phenomenology.
• Experience with open-source frameworks.
• Ability to program in multiple languages.
