Product Designer (AI)

hirify.global is an AI-native patent intelligence platform using LLMs and generative AI to support the patent workflow from invention disclosure through litigation.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end experiences for patent search, claim charting, portfolio analysis, prosecution, and litigation support.
• Conduct user research with patent attorneys, IP counsel, and legal operations teams, including observing real deployments and usage.
• Design transparent and actionable interfaces for AI-generated prior-art results, claim mappings, and portfolio analytics.
• Apply emerging patterns in LLM-powered interfaces, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and human-AI collaboration.
• Lead design from discovery and concept exploration through prototyping, usability testing, launch, and iteration.
• Build scalable design patterns for a growing product surface and specialized IP workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership of complex, workflow-heavy products.
• Experience designing AI-powered products, including UX for uncertainty, confidence, variable outputs, and user trust.
• Direct experience with vertical AI, LLM products, or agent-based systems.
• Strong communication skills for working with attorneys, product managers, and leadership.
• High ownership and ability to drive projects through completion and close feedback loops.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup or early-stage environment where design processes were built from scratch.
• Familiarity with the patent lifecycle, including prosecution, litigation, portfolio management, search, and analytics.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, legal tech, professional services, or enterprise tools for expert users.
