Senior Fullstack Developer

Location: Ottawa, Canada; hybrid. Mandatory onboarding visit in Ottawa or Toronto during the first week and periodic onsite visits every quarter.

Salary: CA$115.8K–CA$145K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and evolve integration methods connecting customer systems and business data to hirify.global using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Design and maintain external APIs and improve the developer experience for partners and customers.
• Design, optimize, and scale ELT data pipelines for performance, reliability, and growing data volumes.
• Build backend architecture for ingesting and processing distributed data in a cloud-native environment.
• Implement monitoring, logging, debugging, and other observability practices to improve system reliability.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience building and operating distributed production systems at scale.
• Experience deploying and scaling distributed serverless services in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability, scalability, fault tolerance, and failure isolation.
• Canadian citizenship or eligibility to work in Canada is required.
• A criminal records check and compliance with hirify.global security policies are required.

Nice to have

• Experience building platform integrations and scaling complex data pipelines.
• Experience in high-velocity startup or AI-first environments.
• Experience with React and responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience at companies scaling from hundreds to thousands of employees.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or emerging engineering practices.
