Software Engineer (TypeScript/Next.js)

hirify.global is building a secure, efficient, and privacy-centric platform for exchanging AI training data.

What you will do

• Ship end-to-end features for the internal data catalog dashboard and customer-facing portal, from design through testing and rollout.
• Design interfaces, layouts, interactions, and empty, loading, and error states from rough product ideas.
• Build catalog and solutions workflows for sample creation, customer access management, delivery exports, browsing, streaming, and content evaluation.
• Implement playback, preview, and file-handling experiences for multimodal content stored across buckets.
• Build embedding-based search interfaces for finding clips across catalogs containing millions of items.
• Extend Next.js API routes and work with Postgres, AWS, secure access controls, share links, PHI-aware routes, design-system components, and tests.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience building production web applications used by real users.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills, with experience in Next.js or a comparable full-stack framework.
• Experience shipping user-facing features across UI, APIs, data models, and tests.
• Ability to turn rough ideas into clear, usable interfaces and make sound design decisions.
• Comfort working across the stack with Postgres and AWS cloud services.
• Proactive approach to improving confusing or slow flows and working through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with browser media playback, including HTML5 video/audio, HLS, containers, and codecs.
• Experience building search or data-heavy interfaces over large datasets.
• Portfolio, side projects, or shipped work demonstrating strong UI judgment.
• Familiarity with Clerk, permission modeling, HIPAA, PHI, or other sensitive data.
• Prior startup experience.
