TL;DR
Senior Robotics Control Systems Engineer (C++/Robotics): Designing and deploying embedded control stacks, motion-planning algorithms, state-estimation pipelines, and optimal-control solutions for general-purpose robots with an accent on dynamic locomotion, manipulation, and real-time sensor fusion. Focus on building safety-critical software, bridging hardware and algorithms, and debugging and validating controllers on physical robots.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and optimize embedded control stacks for general-purpose robots.
  • Develop motion-planning and trajectory-optimization algorithms for dynamic locomotion and manipulation.
  • Build real-time state-estimation pipelines that fuse heterogeneous sensor data for pose, contact, and force sensing.
  • Formulate and solve nonlinear model-predictive control, convex optimization, and trajectory-optimization problems.
  • Build modular software frameworks supporting rapid iteration between simulation and physical hardware.
  • Lead controller debugging, tuning, and validation directly on physical robots.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and deploying advanced control algorithms on real robotic products.
  • Deep expertise in dynamics, kinematics, optimal control, and state estimation.
  • Strong command of hardware interfaces, IMUs, force/torque sensors, motors, gearboxes, and drivers.
  • Production-level mastery of C++ and experience building reliable, safety-critical software.
  • Ability to bridge hardware, software, and algorithms to deliver robust end-to-end systems.
  • Passion for control systems engineering and openness to deep learning, reinforcement learning, and vision-language-action models in general-purpose robotics.

Nice to have

  • Experience shipping humanoid robots or whole-body control systems.
  • Published work in control theory, state estimation, or mathematical optimization.
  • Familiarity with GPU-based parallel computation for accelerating optimization.
