Staff Software Engineer, SDK (AI)

Location: Remote in the US or Canada; hiring focused in North and South America

What you will do

• Own the SDK libraries developers use to add hirify.global to agents, MCP servers, and framework integrations.
• Design consistent APIs, errors, and credential types across Python, TypeScript, Go, and Ruby.
• Implement safe authentication defaults, including token verification, refresh handling, signing-key outage behavior, and OAuth flows.
• Track upstream MCP and framework releases, maintain compatibility, and ship support for breaking changes.
• Own package versioning, changelogs, deprecations, CI, and publishing to PyPI, npm, pkg.go.dev, and RubyGems.
• Improve developer experience through quick starts, examples, documentation, feedback loops, and careful use of coding agents.

Requirements

• Experience shipping and supporting libraries or SDKs used by other developers, including breaking changes.
• Experience keeping one API consistent across at least two languages; idiomatic Python and TypeScript are required.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC at the library level, including token verification, refresh, PKCE, and token exchange under RFC 8693.
• Experience with versioning, peer dependency ranges, maintenance branches, and user-facing deprecations.
• Experience building with MCP and agent frameworks, with informed opinions about their design and implementation.
• Daily use of coding agents and the ability to identify where their output requires additional review.

Nice to have

• Go or Ruby experience.
• Multi-language SDK code generation with Stainless, Speakeasy, Fern, OpenAPI, or protobuf.
• Experience with plugin or integration ecosystems such as Terraform providers, framework adapters, or editor extensions.
• Contributions to MCP, the A2A protocol, or open-source agent frameworks.
• Experience with edge runtimes such as Cloudflare Workers or durable execution such as Temporal.
