Security Operations Specialist

Location: Austin, TX – On Site. Full-time role with 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Monitor access control systems, video management systems, alarms, and operational monitoring platforms.
• Identify anomalous activity and operational risks while maintaining situational awareness across facilities.
• Serve as the first point of contact for security, safety, and operational incidents; perform initial triage and coordinate escalations.
• Coordinate dispatch and communications with onsite personnel, vendors, first responders, and internal stakeholders.
• Document incidents, operational events, shift turnovers, and after-action reviews.
• Process access requests, support investigations through video review and system research, and improve Command Center procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Security Operations Center, emergency communications center, dispatch environment, military operations center, or related operational role is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize incidents, and remain calm and professional during emergencies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and web-based systems.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin and complete 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
