Product Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Define and own the integrated system design for the Hub product.
• Translate high-level concepts into technical specifications for modular subsystems and selected product capabilities.
• Lead requirements management, traceability, CONOPS, ICDs, trade studies, risk topics, and design reviews.
• Follow hardware, flight software, ground software, qualification, testing, and operational procedure development through the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate hardware and software integration through clear interfaces, verification logic, validation plans, and test-result reviews.
• Partner with engineering, product management, and operations teams to establish technical direction and maintain product quality through production and operations.

Requirements

• Strong systems engineering experience with complex products spanning software and hardware.
• Experience connecting architecture definition, requirements structuring, and engineering implementation.
• Proficiency in software architecture, networking protocols, embedded systems, and integration strategies.
• Ability to structure systems into capabilities, interfaces, requirements, and responsibilities.
• Experience designing modular systems with standardized interfaces across power, data, mechanical, and thermal domains.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical efforts and communicate complex decisions through clear documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with building-block approaches for modular system design and integration.
• Technical leadership experience developing reusable and scalable products.
• Familiarity with satellite communication protocols, including RF or optical links.
• Familiarity with onboard data processing and cloud-based ground-segment software for mission operations.
• Understanding of aerospace standards and international, cross-site engineering experience.
