Senior Regulatory Officer (UK/EU) (Food Compliance)

Location: Hybrid role based at THG ICON, Altrincham near Manchester, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Manage one Regulatory Associate, including setting objectives and supporting professional development.
• Provide regulatory input for new and existing product development across THG Nutrition brands.
• Review food supplement formulations, product labelling, marketing materials, websites, and nutrition and health claims for UK and EU compliance.
• Complete food supplement product registrations in the UK and EU Member States and assess regulatory risks against commercial requirements.
• Maintain regulatory guidance and policies, conduct horizon scanning, and identify upcoming compliance challenges.
• Support internal and external audits, create training materials, and collaborate with NPD, Marketing, Brand, Commercial, QA, SQA, and Packaging Artwork teams.

Requirements

• Qualification in Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Law, Food Science, Food Safety, or a related subject.
• Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations for food, food supplements, and nutrition and health claims.
• Good understanding of standard food industry practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work across NPD, Brand, Marketing, SQA, QA, and Packaging Artwork departments.
• Good IT skills, including Email, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with food supplement product registration in EU Member States.
• Experience with product specification systems, especially Oracle Brand Compliance.
• Experience managing, supporting, and guiding a small team.
