Senior Regulatory Officer (UK/EU) - THG Nutrition

Location: Hybrid role at THG ICON, Altrincham, near Manchester Airport, UK.

What you will do

• Manage one Regulatory Associate, including setting objectives and cascading departmental objectives.
• Provide regulatory support for business projects and oversee regulatory requirements for new and existing product development across THG Nutrition brands.
• Review formulations, product labelling, marketing materials, websites, nutrition claims, and health claims for compliance with UK and EU requirements.
• Complete food supplement product registrations in the UK and EU Member States, assess regulatory risk, and support internal and external audits, including BRC and ISO audits.
• Maintain applicable regulations, guidance, policies, and regulatory information; identify upcoming regulatory challenges through horizon scanning.
• Prepare training materials, deliver training, participate in trade association meetings, and collaborate with NPD, Marketing, Brand, Commercial, SQA, QA, and Packaging Artwork teams.

Requirements

• Qualification in Nutrition, Food Technology, Food Law, Food Science, Food Safety, or a related subject.
• Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations for food and food supplements, including the use of nutrition and health claims.
• Strong understanding of standard food industry practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and good time management.
• Ability to communicate across departments, including NPD, Brand, Marketing, SQA, QA, and Packaging Artwork, to meet business needs.
• Good IT skills, including Email, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with the food supplement product registration process in EU Member States.
• Experience with product specification systems, especially Oracle Brand Compliance.
• Experience managing, supporting, and guiding a small team.
