Senior DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be located in the Central Time Zone, USA. The role supports flexible work; an Austin office commuter allowance is available for employees who travel to the office two or more times per week.

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year, plus stock options.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end installation, configuration, and upgrades of hirify.global’s Kubernetes-based platform in customer-managed AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot unfamiliar customer environments, collect diagnostics, identify root causes, and create Python or Bash scripts to resolve deployment constraints.
• Act as a technical counterpart for enterprise engineering teams during customer onboarding, working with Solutions Engineering when needed.
• Convert deployment best practices into reusable Terraform modules, Helm configurations, and automated onboarding procedures.
• Maintain the performance and health of PostgreSQL, Redis, container networking, storage, and other infrastructure components in isolated customer stacks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles, preferably in product-driven B2B SaaS, DevOps tooling, or developer platform companies.
• Hands-on experience with customer-facing deployments, technical onboarding, or Field DevOps.
• Expertise running, troubleshooting, and tuning production Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Helm across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including customer VPC and tenant boundaries.
• Knowledge of Linux networking, IAM and security policies, storage drivers, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Strong Python or Bash skills for diagnostic tools, automation scripts, and deployment fixes.

Nice to have

• Software development experience building tools, services, or SDKs.
• Experience with AI/ML developer tools or enterprise developer platforms.
• Experience as an early remote hire or in creating operational playbooks.
