Network Engineer

Location: Marble, North Carolina, United States; fully onsite with reliable commuting required

What you will do

• Configure, deploy, maintain, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and availability and respond to alerts and outages under senior guidance.
• Provide first-level support for network incidents and service requests.
• Collaborate with IT teams on infrastructure projects.
• Maintain network configurations, diagrams, standard operating procedures, hardware inventories, and cabling records.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance to support network reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required; employer sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Remote, hybrid, and flexible work arrangements are unavailable; relocation assistance is not provided.

Nice to have

• Internship or hands-on network support experience.
• CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent certification, or active pursuit of certification.
• Exposure to network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
