What you will do

  • Develop simulation interface systems connecting spacecraft avionics with subsystem simulations for closed-loop testing.
  • Define command and measurement signal characteristics with avionics hardware, flight software, and subsystem developers.
  • Select, install, integrate, and wire digital, analog, serial, and other control and data acquisition components.
  • Develop software for signal control and command and measurement exchange using the simulation server.
  • Integrate and test the interface with avionics and simulation systems for end-to-end functionality.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, software design diagrams, and technical design review presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 7 years of electrical hardware and software development experience.
  • Experience with test and instrumentation systems and analog, digital, RS-422, and MIL-STD-1553 signals.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generators, electronic load banks, power supplies, and power analyzers.
  • Experience with source control management and repository pipelines, plus C/C++, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency. Willingness to work evenings and weekends when required for critical milestones is also required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with National Instruments systems, including LabVIEW and DAQmx.
