Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $152K–$209K base salary, plus equity; additional benefits are excluded from this range.

What you will do

• Develop and implement guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for satellite attitude, orbit, and precision-pointing systems.
• Analyze spacecraft dynamics and run simulations to evaluate performance, stability, and accuracy.
• Design, develop, and test control-system hardware and software, including reaction wheels, thrusters, magnetic torquers, sensors, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with spacecraft, payload, software, systems, project management, and operations teams to define requirements and integrate GNC solutions.
• Conduct configuration trade studies covering power consumption, mass, cost, and mission performance.
• Create validation criteria and test plans, evaluate telemetry, resolve anomalies, and support end-to-end engineering solutions.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional GNC engineering experience, preferably in the satellite or aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, and control theory.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, or Python, including numerical simulation and analysis.
• Experience with GNC sensors, actuators, control algorithms, MATLAB/Simulink, STK, system testing, anomaly resolution, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
