Head of Energy within Wholesale Banking

hirify.global is hiring for its Belgium sectors team within Wholesale Banking, supporting clients across the global energy value chain.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the strategy for profitable growth of the Energy Sector business in Belgium.
• Represent ING in the market and identify opportunities across renewables, power, utilities, hydrocarbons, and new energy technologies.
• Originate and manage senior relationships with Belgian energy clients across lending, transaction services, financial markets, debt and equity capital markets, and corporate finance.
• Lead the Belgian Energy Sector team and deliver financial, strategic, client, risk, and ESG KPIs.
• Coach and develop team members while coordinating knowledge sharing across sector and product teams.
• Manage risk exposure, uphold governance and compliance, and align stakeholders in a matrix organization.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of relevant banking or energy industry experience.
• Degree in economics, mathematics, engineering, finance, or accounting.
• Established C-suite client contacts and professional relationships in the Energy sector.
• Experience with Belgian and/or global energy clients, including origination, structuring, execution, and client management.
• Strong commercial, leadership, communication, presentation, structuring, credit, deal execution, and team management skills.
• Fluent English is required; French or Belgian French is a plus.
