Staff Engineer (AI & Automation)

What you will do

• Redesign the manual, spreadsheet-driven Commercial Finance deal approval process end to end.
• Design, build, orchestrate, and deploy AI agents and LLM-based automation for review, reconciliation, validation, and risk-based routing.
• Own technical delivery from initial idea and prototype through production deployment and adoption.
• Integrate solutions with CRM, ERP, and finance data sources using MCP, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Measure cycle-time reduction and manual work removed while extending reusable agent capabilities across Commercial Finance.
• Drive AI adoption as the dedicated technical expert for Commercial Finance projects.

Requirements

• Staff-level individual contributor with a hands-on engineering focus; this is not a people-management role.
• Experience building production-grade software and owning technical delivery from a blank page to deployment.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM applications, or automation, including prompting, tool use, retrieval, evaluation, and safe production deployment.
• Strong interest and capability in cloud technologies, process automation, systems integration, and maintainable software engineering.
• Experience with modern engineering practices including version control, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and governance.
• Finance experience is not required; the role partners with Commercial Finance specialists who provide process expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and orchestrating autonomous or semi-autonomous agents, preferably with Claude.
• Experience building and running services in Microsoft Azure.
