Senior Network Engineer (AI/AIOps)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States

Annual salary: $105,000–$125,000 DOE, plus benefits and incentive plans.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate enterprise, campus, WAN/SD-WAN, data center, cloud, and manufacturing/OT network architectures.
• Build network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows with Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST/NETCONF APIs, CI/CD, and event-driven self-service automation.
• Apply AI/ML, AIOps, and LLM-based assistants to monitoring, anomaly detection, capacity planning, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and guarded remediation.
• Manage AWS and/or Azure hybrid networking, including VPC/VNet, transit connectivity, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, load balancing, and DNS.
• Implement network security and Zero Trust controls, including firewalls, NAC, VPN, segmentation, and ZTNA.
• Operate resilient monitoring, observability, data center fabric, manufacturing connectivity, GPU/HPC cluster, and storage networking environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing and operating enterprise, data center, and/or cloud networks.
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching, LAN/WLAN, WAN/SD-WAN, VXLAN, load balancing, and high-availability design.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, REST/NETCONF APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, Git, and network automation.
• Practical experience with AI/ML or AIOps for network monitoring, troubleshooting, or automation, plus AWS and/or Azure networking.
• Experience with network security platforms, monitoring and telemetry, compute/GPU clusters, SAN/NAS, iSCSI, NVMe-oF, Fibre Channel, and RDMA/RoCE/InfiniBand.

Nice to have

• CCNP, CCIE, AWS/Azure networking, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center, ThousandEyes, Juniper Mist AI, SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, or comparable AIOps platforms.
• Manufacturing or OT/IT networking experience and large-scale NetDevOps transformation.
• Experience with spine-leaf and EVPN/VXLAN fabrics, telemetry pipelines, and HPC/GPU cluster networking.
