Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for fault detection, guidance, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Optimize software for real-time performance and implement low-level hardware drivers.
• Integrate and test algorithms at module, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and system levels.
• Design software requirements, embedded-device configurations, and hardware-software interfaces.
• Drive complete software integrations from inception through completion.
• Contribute to greenfield software architecture and computer vision capabilities.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in embedded systems design.
• High proficiency in embedded C/C++ or an equivalent systems language.
• Experience with I2C, CAN, SPI, and UART communication protocols.
• Understanding of guidance, navigation, and control, control and estimation theory, autonomous sensors, and system integration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of missile GNC, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and controls.
• Experience with computer vision, perception, filtering, and estimation techniques.
• High proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience with embedded Linux and complex computer vision tasks.
