Senior Nuclear Engineer

What you will do

• Lead complex thermal-hydraulic and neutronics calculations for microreactor design.
• Independently verify and approve engineering calculations and safety analyses.
• Review design basis documents, licensing submittals, and technical evaluations as a technical authority.
• Develop and maintain models for reactor systems and accident scenarios.
• Participate in peer reviews and regulatory interactions.
• Mentor junior engineers and identify improvements to analytical methods and engineering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in nuclear systems analysis, safety analysis, or reactor physics.
• Proficiency with at least two of the following codes: TRACE, MELCOR, MCNP, VERA, SCALE, or SERPENT.
• Experience performing and reviewing complex engineering calculations.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
