TL;DR
Community Growth Coordinator (AI): Building Walrus's presence in AI-focused and other non-web3 communities through relationship development, engagement, community programs, and online and in-person events with an accent on community discovery, activation, and structured coordination. Focus on identifying emerging community needs, supporting program applications and evaluations, coordinating moderators, and tracking event outcomes across Reddit, Discord, X, and other channels.
Location: Remote in North America
Employment type: 6-month contract

What you will do
- Scout and prioritize AI-focused, builder, and other non-web3 communities where Walrus can establish a presence.
- Build genuine relationships with new communities, drive engagement, and support activation after relationships are established.
- Participate in community discussions, identify recurring themes and pain points, and share observations for future community planning.
- Contribute to Reddit strategy, moderation, and content sourcing with the moderator team.
- Review community program applications, evaluate participants, and support program setup, documentation, websites, and logistics.
- Coordinate moderators and support online and in-person events, including X Spaces and AMAs, while tracking event status and feedback.
Requirements
- Active presence and established relationships or reputation in AI-focused, builder, or other non-web3 online communities.
- Experience initiating and growing relationships with new communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical or product concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and often unscripted environment.
Nice to have
- Experience adapting and localizing existing programs for new audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and process discipline for managing applications, evaluations, and payment workflows.
- Experience coordinating or supporting events.
- Familiarity with Discord, Reddit, X, or other community and engagement platforms.
