What you will do

• Perform measurements on characterization, evaluation, and production monitoring samples according to engineering experiment plans.
• Execute sputter process characterization and monitor key process performance parameters.
• Troubleshoot metrology tools and monitor machine alarms, taking action according to established guidelines.
• Compile measurement data using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Maintain periodic sample housekeeping and complete tasks assigned by engineering.
• Collaborate with production, equipment, yield, and quality teams to resolve assembly and MES issues while supporting EHS initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in mechanical, mechatronic/electromechanical, electrical/electronic engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of manufacturing experience involving machine operation, data collection, and analytical work.
• Ability to understand failure mechanisms, isolate process changes, and detect causes of machine alarms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong troubleshooting, process adjustment, technical communication, safety, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern and overtime as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with sputter metrology tools.
• Knowledge of magnetic materials used in HDD manufacturing.
• Excel macro experience.
