Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid in New York City or Silicon Valley, United States

Salary: $200,000–$400,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own and deploy the EDA platform inside customer environments, adapting it to proprietary data, workflows, design challenges, and existing infrastructure.
• Diagnose issues across systems, models, data, and customer workflows, working directly with customer engineers to resolve production problems.
• Design and run evaluations against real customer workflows and validate generated artifacts against technical specifications.
• Post-train models on-premises using proprietary customer data and build continual-learning loops from engineer feedback.
• Translate customer constraints into model and platform requirements and communicate product signals to research, product, and platform teams.
• Make implementation decisions, codify effective deployment patterns, and collaborate with account executives and deployment strategists.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to track down issues across the full stack.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including proficiency in Python, production codebases, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluations, agentic patterns, and model deployment.
• Ability to work with semiconductor verification workflows, UVM testbenches, SystemVerilog codebases, and design specifications, or to build fluency quickly.
• Experience shipping ML systems in customer or production environments using real-world data.
• Ability to make sound decisions under ambiguity and travel from a few days for customer meetings to several months for longer-term projects.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with EDA, semiconductor design flows, verification workflows, UVM, SystemVerilog, or coverage-driven verification.
• Experience building or leading an FDE or customer-deployment function at an early-stage company.
• Open-source contributions or publications in AI or ML venues.
