Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Gardena, California, United States. U.S. Government export regulations require applicants to be U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for fault detection, guidance, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Optimize software for real-time performance.
• Integrate and test algorithms and software at module, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and system levels.
• Design software and manage configurations and hardware-software interfaces on embedded devices.
• Drive complete software integrations from inception to completion.
• Contribute to greenfield software architecture and computer vision systems.

Requirements

• High proficiency in embedded C/C++ or an equivalent systems language.
• 4+ years of experience in embedded systems design.
• Familiarity with I2C, CAN, SPI, and UART communication protocols.
• Experience implementing low-level hardware drivers.
• Understanding of guidance, navigation, and control, control and estimation theory, autonomous sensors, and system integration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Understanding of missile GNC, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and controls.
• Experience with computer vision, perception, filtering, and estimation techniques.
• High proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience with embedded Linux and complex computer vision tasks.
