Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for aerospace systems.
• Implement fault detection, guidance, navigation, and flight control software.
• Optimize software for real-time performance and manage embedded device configurations.
• Integrate and test algorithms at module, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and system levels.
• Drive complete software integrations and contribute to greenfield software architecture.
• Contribute to computer vision software and specify hardware-software interfaces.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in embedded systems design.
• High proficiency in embedded C/C++ or an equivalent systems language.
• Experience with I2C, CAN, SPI, and UART communication protocols.
• Experience implementing low-level hardware drivers.
• Understanding of GNC, control and estimation theory, autonomous sensors, and sensor integration.
• Must meet U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or an individual eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorization.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of missile GNC, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and controls.
• Understanding of computer vision, perception, filtering, and estimation techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
• Experience with embedded Linux and complex computer vision tasks.
