Red Team Engineer (AI Security)

Location: Remote (U.S. or International)

Salary: $110,000–$185,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Design challenges and adversarial scenarios for hirify.global Arena competitions.
• Conduct red-team engagements for external clients, including prompt injection, tool-use, and agent-exploitation testing.
• Identify attack surfaces and vulnerabilities in frontier AI systems and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Build internal Arena tools and support operational activities such as cheating detection, break verification, and prize distribution.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to create realistic scenarios and develop new challenge types.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in AI red teaming, adversarial machine learning, or related security research.
• Strong technical writing and scenario-design skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly.
• Experience with AI red teaming beyond LLM prompt injection.
• Background in traditional security research, CTFs, or penetration testing.
• Ability to work independently across multiple engagements, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
• Strong intuition about how AI systems fail in real-world deployments.

Nice to have

• Experience as a hirify.global Arena competitor.
• Familiarity with multimodal attack surfaces.
• Coding experience for automating or scaling test cases.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
