Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote - Canada

Salary: CA$131,000–CA$164,250 annual base salary, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Own and optimize AWS environments for cost efficiency, security, resilience, and high availability.
• Administer production Kubernetes clusters and continuous delivery tooling, including Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, and Kustomize.
• Scale data streaming and caching infrastructure with Confluent Cloud, Apache Kafka, and Redis.
• Build monitoring, alerting, progressive deployment, and incident response capabilities using Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, OpsGenie or PagerDuty, LaunchDarkly, and PostHog.
• Partner with software engineering teams to integrate services, troubleshoot complex production issues, and improve automation, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Senior Site Reliability Engineer role or equivalent.
• Expertise in enterprise-scale Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, security, scalability, and resilience.
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Cloud, Apache Kafka, Redis, Amazon RDS, and enterprise search or analytics platforms such as OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or ChaosSearch.
• Experience with production Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, monitoring and alerting infrastructure, and feature flag systems.
• Strong production troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and Agile experience.

Nice to have

• Multi-cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards for cloud-native and containerized environments.
• Experience with serverless computing and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Software development experience with Node.js, Python, or Go.
