Security Architect (ZTA)

Location: Farnborough, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. Right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility for UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements are required; applicable residency and nationality requirements may apply.

What you will do

• Design enterprise security architectures covering people, processes, networks, applications, data, and endpoints.
• Develop security strategies aligned with Classification Guides, Defence Security Policy, and defence-in-depth principles.
• Design zero-trust models, continuous verification frameworks, threat-informed architectures, and cyber-resilience capabilities.
• Architect cloud, application, API, endpoint protection, DLP, EDR, SOC, and SIEM solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Lead security architecture reviews, risk assessments, technology evaluations, implementation programmes, and governance activities.
• Act as a technical authority with customer leadership, defence programme teams, executives, and security engineering teams.

Requirements

• Previous information security experience in an architectural role and proven experience designing enterprise-scale security architectures.
• Background in defence, aerospace, or government security programmes.
• Expertise in security operations, incident response, threat management, network security, endpoint security, and application security.
• Proficiency in cloud security, including AWS, Azure, or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of SIEM, DLP, EDR, WAF, firewalls, cryptography, encryption, security protocols, and threat models.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF, plus strong stakeholder leadership and communication skills.
