Focus on troubleshooting facility systems, maintaining data integrity, and coordinating engine, vehicle, GSE, technician, and engineering teams during complex test operations.

What you will do

  • Operate facility test consoles while maintaining situational awareness and continuous communication during test activities.
  • Lead and support technicians and engineers setting up and operating the test facility.
  • Conduct safe tests while preserving data quality and integrity.
  • Troubleshoot facility and test operations issues and optimize checkout, processing, testing, and post-test activities.
  • Collaborate with Archimedes engine and Neutron vehicle design teams to prepare and execute tests on engine and stage hardware.
  • Support GSE teams with the design, build, installation, checkout, cleanliness, system integrity, and calibration of facility and data acquisition systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering, or another technical discipline.
  • For Engineer II: 2+ years of experience operating rocket engine test stands or launch complexes.
  • For Senior Engineer I: 5+ years of experience operating rocket engine test stands or launch complexes.
  • For work in the United States, candidates must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
  • Ability to work onsite with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and computer work, plus occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing systems and developing computer tools for automation or analysis.
  • Experience operating facilities for liquid oxygen and liquid methane.
  • Working knowledge of computer networks and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, fabricators, and suppliers.
  • Leadership experience through pilot training, scouting, sports teams, or similar activities.
