Project Lead - Facility Development (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: On-site in Keenesburg, Colorado; U.S. citizenship, U.S. national status, or lawful permanent residency required

hirify.global is a stealth startup developing and mass-producing low-cost air defense systems, including solid rocket motor and energetics manufacturing capabilities for tactical munitions and propulsion production.

What you will do

• Develop and manage integrated plans for a 100+ acre manufacturing campus, including site work, utilities, roads, buildings, magazines, and test infrastructure.
• Lead permitting, zoning, environmental review, land-use approvals, and ESQD-compliant facility siting.
• Oversee civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design consultants along with general and specialty contractors.
• Manage budgets, schedules, risks, documentation, stakeholder communications, startup, and commissioning.
• Transition into Facility Manager ownership of utilities, grounds, roads, process buildings, magazines, fire suppression, and security systems.
• Build the site facilities team and lead ongoing maintenance, capital improvements, compliance, and capacity expansion.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in construction, facilities, or capital-project management, including design/build oversight.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, energetics, aerospace, or defense environments.
• Ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects across permitting, design, construction, budgets, schedules, and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication with government representatives, contractors, internal leadership, and local officials.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or Smartsheet for project budgets and schedules.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licensing, including a background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with solid rocket motors, energetics, munitions, or other high-hazard manufacturing.
• PMP certification.
• Knowledge of DoD 6055.09-STD, ESQD arcs, and quantity-distance principles.
• Greenfield industrial or manufacturing campus development from zoning or land acquisition through commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
