What you will do

• Build and scale web-scraping infrastructure for collecting policies from more than 100 healthcare payers.
• Own the end-to-end data pipeline from ingestion and normalization to storage and downstream delivery.
• Use LLM systems to convert unstructured payer policies into structured data and infer medical-code coverage information.
• Build evaluation and testing harnesses to validate AI output quality.
• Design and maintain APIs serving normalized policy data and support the Snowflake-based data product.
• Develop CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability systems while guiding architectural decisions and reviewing code for a small engineering group.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional backend engineering experience with ownership of production data pipelines or platform systems.
• Expert-level Python proficiency with at least 3 years in a professional backend engineering role.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and relational schema design with PostgreSQL or an equivalent database.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus ownership of CI/CD implementation.
• Experience normalizing, cleaning, or ingesting messy and inconsistent external data sources.
• Client-facing English proficiency at B2 or higher and availability for full US Eastern business-hour overlap are required.

Nice to have

• Experience productionizing LLM systems with evaluation or testing components.
• Web-scraping experience with Scrapy, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with RAG pipelines or regulated data domains such as healthcare and fintech.
• Familiarity with Terraform, FastAPI, or Snowflake.
