Lead Cloud AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week on-site at the Lincolnshire, Illinois, or Holtsville, New York office

Salary: $96,800–$145,200 annual base pay, plus a target annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Identify cloud platform and infrastructure innovation opportunities and translate business needs into solution concepts, requirements, and user stories.
• Design, build, and scale cloud-native AI platforms, AI-powered log intelligence, and semantic developer tooling.
• Coordinate proofs of concept and hands-on delivery across GCP and Azure.
• Research and evaluate generative AI, machine learning, robotic process automation, and virtual-agent technologies.
• Establish a repeatable operating model for AI/ML deployment, including pipeline architecture, performance metrics, and compliance controls.
• Lead and mentor cloud and AI platform engineers while aligning technology roadmaps and collaborating across innovation and product teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in operations teams, infrastructure support, networking, service desks, operations centers, or cloud environments.
• Hands-on Google Gemini Enterprise experience, including building and deploying custom agents with the Agent Development Kit.
• Strong experience with GCP, Azure, OpenAI, Anthropic, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Practical knowledge of LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic AI patterns, MCP, tool calling, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise cloud security, API security, PII masking, and fine-grained RBAC frameworks.

Nice to have

• Active professional cloud certifications, such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or AI Engineer.
• Exposure to AI/ML systems, application security, or API security.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
